‘is this How i see the world?’ maori art is popular at the moment. i am cashing in on the trend. is that wrong? is commercialising my culture cheapening it or exposing and communicating it to others? is it franchise worthy? is it helping the cause?
this piece was influenced by an old school image of ronald waving. it has a creepy nostalgic feeling about it. mcrangi is an adaptation of that.
