Shane is excited to be holding his first exhibition at the renowned Terrace Downs High Country Resort, which is located 20 minutes from the summit road Mt Hutt. He will be showing a range of originals and limited edition prints.

this piece was done as a commission for the ‘living & learning centre’ in henderson, west auckland. it represents the cultures, lifestyle and spirit of the area and also the people that inhabit it . the waitakeres is a food and water source for tamaki makaurau. it collects our drinking water, grows fruit crops and protects and nurtures our native flora and fauna. the shapes within represent the volcanic terrain on which we live. the kokako is a kaitiaki (guardian), watching over the tamariki, helping forge a brighter future for them as it has been given by the ‘arch in the park’ project. looking down from the waitakere ranges towards rangitoto, he feels proud and privileged to be part of it all.

this piece is based on botticelli’s ‘birth of venus’. it is dedicated to my beautiful wife, whom is my goddess of love. she has pulled me from the dark and showed me limitless love and devotion. i owe what and who i am to her. she is my life.

this must be one of the best christmas presents you could get! a custom designed vibiemme super. air new zealand requested two of these to be given away to special staff as a christmas present. the original whanaungatanga artwork was tweeked to fit.
